WHO WE ARE
Established in the late 1970s in Northern California, and operating in Japan since 1979, Virgin Earth is Japan’s most versatile, creative and sought-after bilingual film, broadcasting and production team.
Our mix of Japanese and foreign production staff all hail from major foreign or Japanese broadcasters and production houses, which is why the world’s top broadcasters, Fortune 500 firms, and ad agencies go to Virgin Earth for their production needs in Japan.
The scope of our work portfolio is very broad. In recent years we have produced original videos and animations for both TV and web content. We have facilitated TV commercials, aerial shoots over Tokyo, drama segments and large-scale reality TV programs.
Multi-camera lives, OB and studio productions are also our forte. This has often involved fast-paced content like the kickboxing event Glory and the live broadcast of concerts by world famous artists.
Current CEO Miles Edelsten has worked as News Director of AP in Greater China and Senior Producer at AP Television in Japan. Prior to that he worked at Japan’s Nippon TV and the UK’s Channel 4 Television.
Other producers on Virgin Earth staff previously worked at Bloomberg TV, Nissan Global Media Centre, NBC, BBC and Morgan Stanley.
